Incision Care
Inspect the sutures and/or incision daily. Normally these areas should be clean and dry. If there is any redness, swelling or discharge present, please call our office for further care instructions.
If your pet is licking or digging at the sutures and/or incision, it will be necessary to either cover the area or an Elizabethan (funnel) collar will need to be placed on your pet. It may also be necessary to use sedatives to hinder your pet’s ability to bother the area.
