Scheduling Appointments
For new patients, our staff will schedule an examination and consultation with one of our doctors between the hours of 8:40 am and noon, or afternoons from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There are no Wednesday appointments available.
The following items need to be brought with you to your appointment:
• We will be in contact with your referring veterinarian’s office and will have them fax us your pet’s current medical record and current labwork. If X-rays have been taken at your referring veterinarian’s office, your referring vet will either have those X-rays couriered to us if there is sufficient time or it may be necessary for you to bring those X-rays to your pet’s first visit at our practice.
• Bring your pet.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow sufficient time to fill out a new patient form. Or if it is more convenient, you may download a copy of our “client information form” which you may fill out and bring with you to your first appointment.
On your first visit your pet will be examined. If surgery is necessary, in most cases it will be scheduled for another day, usually within one day to two weeks, depending upon the required procedure and schedule availability. Radiographs and/or blood work may be performed during your pet’s first visit to more definitively diagnose the problem prior to scheduling a surgery appointment.
Please withhold food from your pet after 8:00 p.m. the night before his/her visit. It is important for your pet to have an empty stomach when undergoing anesthesia for radiographs or surgery. It is not necessary to withhold water.
